River Road Asset Management

Andrew is a co-founder of River Road and is responsible for formulating and driving the firm’s overall business strategy as Chief Executive Officer. He is also directly engaged with several key strategies, serving as Senior Portfolio manager for River Road’s Small Cap Value and Small-Mid Cap Value strategies, a portfolio manager for the Mid Cap Value Portfolio, and a supervising portfolio manager for the Focused Absolute Value^® portfolios. Andrew earned his BS in Finance at the University of Louisville and MBA at Babson College, and served as Senior Research Analyst, Senior Vice President, and Portfolio Manager and SMC Capital Inc. He has been with River Road since its inception in 2005 and holds equity in the firm.

As Chief Investment Officer, Alex leads the research and data management functions and ensures that the firm’s various strategies align with its overall investment philosophy. He also serves as supervising portfolio manager for River Road’s Focused Absolute Value® portfolios and previously served as the firm’s Director of Research. His previous experience includes positions with Wachovia Banking and the US Air Force. He is a non-voting member of the Executive Committee and a member of the Investment Oversight Committee. Alex holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and BA in Operations Research from the United States Air Force Academy. Alex joined River Road in 2010 and holds equity in the firm.

As Senior Portfolio Manager for River Road’s Small Cap Value and Small-Mid Cap Value portfolios, Justin focuses on long-term value opportunities, building on his experience as senior equity analyst for the firm and as an equity analyst for SMC Capital. He earned a BS in Economics at Centre College and is a member of the CFA Institute. Justin joined River Road in 2005 and holds equity in the firm.

As Co-Chief Investment Officer, Thom monitors and coordinates the investment processes of the firm’s portfolios and is a non-voting member of the Executive Committee. At the same time, he serves as Senior Portfolio Manager for River Road’s Dividend All-Cap Value portfolio. His previous experience includes acting as Supervising Portfolio Manager for the firm’s Focused Absolute Value® portfolios and Portfolio Manager at ABN AMRO Asset Management. Thom earned his MBA at the University of Chicago and his BS in Finance at Ohio State University’s Fisher College of Business. He is a CFA^® charterholder and member of the CFA Institute. He joined River Road in 2005 and holds equity in the firm.

Daniel serves as Portfolio Manager for River Road’s Mid Cap Value and Large Cap Value portfolios and is a non-voting member of the Executive Committee. He previously served as Senior Equity Analyst for the firm and as an Associate Auditor for PriceWaterhouseCoopers and continues to hold a CPA designation. Daniel earned both an MS and BS in Accounting at the University of Kentucky. He a CFA^® charterholder and member of the CFA Institute. Daniel joined River Road in 2006 and holds equity in the firm.

Matt serves as portfolio manager for River Road’s Mid Cap Value and Large Cap Value portfolios, drawing on deep past experience as an equity analyst within the firm as well as related positions at Morningstar, Citigroup and Goldman Sachs. Matt earned his MBA at the University of Chicago/Booth School of Business and BS in Finance from Bradley University. He is a CFA^® charter holder and a member of the CFA Institute. Matt joined River Road in 2007 and holds equity in the firm.

Andrew is Portfolio Manager for River Road’s Dividend All-Cap Value portfolio, building on his previous role as a Senior Equity Analyst for the firm. Before joining River Road, he held various positions focused on mortgage securities at AEGON USA. Andrew holds a BBA in Finance from the University of Iowa and is a CFA^® charterholder and a member of the CFA Institute. He joined River Road in 2011 and holds equity in the firm.

William is Portfolio Manager for River Road’s International Value Equity and International Value Equity ADR portfolios. He brings diverse past experience as a Senior Portfolio Manager at Boston Private Wealth as well as investment banking management and equity analysis. He earned his MBA at Texas Christian University/ Neeley School of Business and holds an MS in Economics from Shanghai Institute of Foreign Trade and a BS in Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University. He is a CFA^® charterholder and a member of the CFA Institute. He joined River Road in 2016.

Jeff is River Road’s Director of Research, working closely with the Chief Investment Officer to ensure the depth and quality of market insights while developing the analyst team and enhancing the effectiveness of the firm’s research program. He is also Associate Portfolio Manager for River Road’s International Value Equity and International Value Equity ADR portfolios, where he maintains select analyst responsibilities and supports other strategies at the firm. In addition, he continues to lead the firm’s implementation of ESG research and principles. Jeffrey holds an MBA from Vanderbilt University/Owen Graduate School of Management and earned his BA in US History at Vanderbilt University. He is a CFA^® charterholder and member of the CFA Institute. Jeff brings more than 15 years of investment research experience in the media, entertainment and gaming industries to his role and joined River Road in 2013.

As Associate Portfolio Manager for River Road’s Focused Absolute Value^® portfolios, Ashley is responsible for operational and trading activities while working with supervising portfolio managers to manage client communications. She also maintains select analyst responsibilities and serves as analyst support for other strategies at the firm. Ashley earned her BS in Economics at Centre College, holds a CPA designation and is a member of the Kentucky Society of CPAs. She joined River Road in 2006 after previous experience at Associated Insurance Services and holds equity in the firm.

Todd serves as Associate Portfolio Manager for River Road’s Small Cap Value and Small-Mid Cap Value portfolios while also providing analytic support for other strategies at the firm. Todd previously served as a Senior Equity Research Analyst for River Road and as a Senior Associate in Corporate Banking at PNC Bank. He holds a BBA in Finance from the University of Cincinnati, and is a CFA^® charter holder as well as a member of the CFA Institute. He joined River Road in 2014 and holds equity in the firm.
